The goal is to find a paneling solution for a given free form design that achieves prescribed quality requirements, while minimizing production cost and respecting application-specific constraints. The quality of the paneling is mainly determined by the geometric closeness to the input surface, the positional and normal continuity between neighboring panels, and the fairness of corresponding panel boundary curves.
主要目標是為既定的自由形式設計找到一種面板解決方案, 以實現規定的質量要求, 同時降低至最小生產成本並尊重特定應用的約束. 板片的質量主要取決於幾何控制的接近程度於原始表皮, 相鄰面板之間的位置和正常連續性, 以及相應面板邊界曲線的最佳化.
